How to Match PowerPoint Presentation Colors to Your Website Colors [PowerPoint tutorial]

PowerPoint tutorial for 💥 http://ift.tt/2uJLfp2 💥 – the 🥇 content repurposing / recontent training online by Ana Hoffman.

In this PowerPoint tutorial, you’ll learn how to match your PowerPoint design element colors (background, text, shapes, overlays, so forth) to your brand colors… or any other colors for that matter.

POWERPOINT TUTORIAL VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

Coca Cola. Twitter. Google.
Color matters.
Color can transform a pile of slides into a story.
Color can give your brand a cohesive online presence.

Hi, this is Ana Hoffman with http://ift.tt/2uJLfp2, and in this PowerPoint tutorial, I’ll be showing my Content Boomerang students how to match PowerPoint slide colors to the brand colors of your website using the eyedropper tool.

The eyedropper tool in PowerPoint allows you to precisely match the color of any shape or object to any of your brand colors.

It can be used anywhere you can access the More Colors menu option.

Let’s say I want to create an overlay that matches one of TrafficGenerationCafe.com colors.

First, I need to make sure I have both PowerPoint and my site visible on my computer screen at the same time.( I’ve already added a rectangular shape in bright blue color to the slide.)

Now, I am going to match the shape color to one of the colors at TGC.

Here’s the step-by-step process for this PowerPoint tutorial:

1. Double-click the shape or object you want to match colors for.
Double-clicking the shape will open the Format pane.

POWERPOINT TUTORIAL PRO TIP:
You can select multiples objects by pressing Shift and then clicking the objects.

2. Click Color options, then More Colors.
Click on Color options (the little paint bucket), the color menu will open, then click More Colors.

The More Colors menu with the eyedropper tool will open.

in step 3. use the eyedropper tool to match colors
Click the PowerPoint eyedropper tool, move it to hover over your site, find and click the color to match, click OK in the More Colors menu.

The PowerPoint shape color now matches the dark blue color at TrafficGenerationCafe.com.

Matching colors with this PowerPoint tutorial was pretty easy, right?

Now, I’ll show you how to save colors (like your brand colors) in the More Colors PowerPoint menu for later use.

‘Later use’ doesn’t mean JUST the slide deck you are currently working on, but ANY subsequent PowerPoint presentation as well.

For instance, my PowerPoint has both TrafficGenerationCafe.com and ContentBoomerang.Training colors saved in the More Colors menu. I can easily and quickly use the in whatever PowerPoint presentation I am working on.

With your mouse, grab the color from the PowerPoint eyedropper and drag it to a ‘saved colors’ slot to the right.

And that’s it, Content Boomeranger! Time to extend your brand beyond your website – starting with the slide deck you are currently working on.

If you are listening to this and don’t yet know what ContentBoomerang.Training is, you should definitely check it out.

You might be pleasantly surprised to learn that the content you create doesn’t have to rot in your archives, but could be put to work through content repurposing and continue to bring traffic and leads back to your business.

I am Ana Hoffman and I’ll see you at ContentBoomerang.Training.
